Pre-Settlement

Finally was able to see the inside of the house. Everything turned out really great. We didn't need to change a single thing: drywall had no blemish/cracks or imperfection, floor was pristine, etc. Project Manager was able to explain any expectations from here on out in terms of warranties as well as how to use the appliances/HVAC. Energy Star was a common theme throughout which is good. Basement is huge but unfinished. Here are the pictures:

Exterior and Grass Complete (12th Week)

Pre-settlement next week. We haven't been inside for almost a month now because of the locked doors :) We were able to peak and very much like what we see.

19 Days and Counting (10th Week)

Got word that our pre-settlement inspection is on June 5th then our closing is now on June 7th (previously it was 6/9).  Able to lock our rate this week as well which is nice. We actually came by the house a week ago but my wife had the camera and she took it to the Philippines with her. Had some inside pics of the house on that camera. Today after a nice Mother's Day lunch, we came by to see the progress and saw an almost finished house. We could not enter the house which was expected. My guess is we won't really see the inside until pre-settlement.

Pre-Drywall Meeting (7th Week)

Met with the Project Manger for our Pre-Drywall appointment. We're ahead of schedule. Pre-Settlement is now on June 5th. Talked about everything from cable/cat5 placement to light switches. Really glad we had all the rooms equipped with ceiling light rough in. While we were there, we saw some folks deliver the drywall as well as the stone for the front. He also went over the property line and we were surprised how much bigger the lot really is. It was a good day.

Windows, Doors, Stairs, etc. (5th Week)

They got quite a few things accomplished in one week as always. We got all windows, front door and stairs leading to the 2nd floor "installed". All the framings are pretty much finished as well. We were told by our PM that we will have our Pre-Drywall meeting on the 18th of April but due to a scheduling conflict we had to move it to the 20th. Here are the pics:

Mid-week Update

Our Sales Rep. sent us this picture of the house taken yesterday. Not much has changed since this weekend. At least now we know recycle and trash pick ups are Mondays. :) From this picture, you will see the separation from our neighbors as well as trees in the backyard. The new houses and development we came by to visit previously were literally right next to each other.
