Framing/Roof (3rd Week)

Spoke too soon. In a week since we came by the house (last Sat.), the house has been transformed to... well... a house.  These guys are moving fast. Within 7 or so days, the foundation, framing and roof structure are done (visible at least). Shocking. Only able to take 2 pictures because of the rain today. I will try to take more pictures tomorrow and perhaps even some interior shots.

Deck or Patio

Once we moved in, one of the things I would like to start working on is building a deck or patio. Perhaps we will do a combination of both. We are definitely going with Trex instead of wood if we decide on a deck. After researching it and talking to friends, Trex is low maintenance although more expensive. For now, I'm leaning on a patio-- cement, brick, stone, gravel, etc. Less area in the backyard to mow! Here are some inspiration from Pinterest. Definitely a fire pit and a built in grill is a must!

Foundation (2nd Week)

Foundation almost done. They seem to be moving slow but that's ok. We are in no rush. June 9th closing seems to be attainable at this point according to the Project Manager.

Big Hole (1st Week)

Came by the lot after church and before heading to Baltimore for lunch and the Irish Parade. You can see the outline of the house. Almost. What we did notice is how quiet/peaceful the neighborhood is. Having lived across from Camden Yards in downtown Baltimore, it will be a welcome change.

Ground Breaking

Did not get a chance to check out the lot yesterday for the ground breaking. Not much to see there I'm sure so we'll just wait to do a drive-by this weekend. The workers there should get a lot of things done because of the incredible weather we're having today and especially tomorrow.
